Sunday one adventures

I stopped at two Wat's and then there is the out to lunch and no show....and finally my travel companion

I am hungry this morning so I want to have time for a long and good breakfast. My dental is at 10 but of course I have to get there. I will try a songtaw today on the way there. Walking to lunch is not bad and I need that kind of time to have my face start to feel like it belongs to me and I will not be drooling soup.
Yesterday was a stop start day. I had pancakes and fruit in the morning, then a mixed berry smoothy for lunch and a nice dinner at the Ginger House outside in the garden. It was a good and and attractive and I ate in the garden...and you know it is a nice toilet.. The stop start was that I walk from the lower right side of the old city to the upper left...a good hike (at the end of the day it was 4 miles)..when I got there the sign said out to lunch..so I had a large smoothy and talked to some birds in a cage. When I returned they must have had a long lunch...This is were I will do Chi Kung if I am to do it...
I then decided to go to the 3 o'clock monk chat at a Wat that is in the forest on the edge of the city. I thought of walking but why..so I took a Tuk with a guy that had a dog in the back... He was taking Bodia to the groomer..but they were closed.. so this was take dog to work day... It was a long ride and would have taken me an hour or so to get there. I got a pamphlet about the place and interesting it was the home of the author of the mindful book I am reading. I checked out the retreat site and met a few of the white clothed meditators who spoke English. While I waited I talked with a young man from England who was there working with children teaching math/art via fractals..interesting and his thoughts on Buddhism were close to mine. I located the meditation site at the back of the lake in the chinese pavillion and read about the place. The story goes that this monk was seeking enlightment and when a spirit came was asked if he would remain pure of heart...and when he answered yes..she gave him enlightment but when he took whatever it was....he touched her.. so he go enlightment but also a bit of the crazies. He was a scholar but at night he would get up and wander about. They often lost him in the woods... so the king made a series of caves for him roam but in the morning ...the help would scamper through the caves and find him... Some of the caves have been restored. Well 3 o'clock c ame and went and finally one of the white meditation folk went off and came back with the meditation moke went to the city and has not returned....so more out to lunch. The Englishman had tolk his driver to return..so we split a tuk back to the city.

The most frustrating part of the blog is getting the pictures in ..so when I can, I will use a collage to try to tell a wider story. I made it for about 3 hrs last night at the market and decided it would be children and food night...so this is what I saw... the children are sweedish, german, french, chinese and Thai.
On interesting thing in the food is the fluffer stuff with cheese on a taco....They also had Japanese pancakes... my father would call them ..50 cent size with jelly...so they made a sandwich out of them and sold 3 sandwiches for 10 bt.

The top left is a very typical scene on each corner of the market.  folks toss down a spread and put down a stool and for 60 bhat...you have a 1/2 hr massage.  Under the massage is a picture of a butterfly hair clip and then a small view down the streets.  the green is banana leaves as flowers..then marshmallow fluff on taco's with cheese.. a waffle, qual egs and center flan...mmmmm

Time to move..shower, pack up...call G..put the blog up.breakfast and off to root canal...and how is your day Mrs Robinson....

Wow, it is easy to slip into a similar pattern to what I had at home. I produced a plan to change many things - delete more emails, eat hea...
