Trip 2013 hasw begun

Joe was early, which I knew he would be but I was prepared and had started down the steps with my gear.  Everything is lighter this year.  I am carrying my camera, putter, pillow and trip books etc.  I did not pack the extra stuff in case the bag is lost.  The checked luggage is lighter and I plan to leave it all behind...so unless i buy a great deal....this will be a light trip.
I slept on the way down but the woman pilot made up a half hour of time...so we were really early.  Louise Slaughter was on the plane and we ended up in the bathroom together... feels like a century ago that we were in the legislative chambers. I was staff to the county and she was a rep.  She has a cane now and said it was slow go....and I said when the congress is moving so slow your probably ahead.
The sun over NYC was very wonderful this am...
Much has improved at JFK...i hung around Jet Blue since it is much better than terminal ...I got a scone and coffee and water for $11...that has not changed.  The best change was ....i was first in line to check in and swapped for an isle seat.....yes......HAPPY BONNY. The 28 hr day is long...but being a sandwich is terrible...this way I can get up and stretch every hour.   i will put on my compression stocking in a few minutes...I don't have my water jug...but I have a bottle of smart water and will save the bottle if I can.  There is an Irish jack Russell sleeping on the floor next to me.... he is adorable.
I had a nice chat with some teamsters who are doing work on a new concession stand.  They are all wt  lifters...and we talked boxing.... I am practicing talking to anyone about anything...I don't have to practice. I was in the line with some teachers from Springfield.... I remembered why i did not like teachers.. they looked at me and my un co-ordinated I as if I was contagious and might have some of my energy rub off... I also reminded myself that the education system can suck the life out of you...and i n my opinion...there has been a mess of life sucked out by this group. They are off for 18 dyas in VN and Cambodia...not going to Sapa...(good)
I see the acadamy awards liked the three pics I have seen...Life of Pi is not for those that want an answer...and to i am just babbling and will unbabble......

Eleventh Day

Wow, it is easy to slip into a similar pattern to what I had at home. I produced a plan to change many things - delete more emails, eat hea...
