Wat Ketkaram

I have been in search of this Wat and now that I found it, I can see that it is almost not visible from the street.  Wat Ket Karam was built in 1428 fifty years before Columbus etc.   Around the temple there is a pagoda which is worshipped by the community and an old market of the Chinese community. I finally found the monk I wanted to give me my reminder band and discovered that the Wat has a museum...but of very old treasures.
I think this Wat should be the Wat of dogs.  This dog statue was at the gate as a welcome.  There were pit bulls and cockers etc... This is the closest I could come to Mr. Max

This was one of the very interesting items... the glass is about the size of a hard ball with the ship built inside.  This is a Chinese skill and now they are collector items

A private family in the logging business buried this Elie when she died.  Many years later when someone was building a new house, they dug up the skull... big brain area...

This is a fan.  The material is hung over the sleeping area of the owner and two servants spend the night pulling the strings attached back and forth..  The size is about 5'x2.5'

This is just a shot I liked.

At the temple on the hill, they shake sticks out of a can.... here.. you give it a spin.  9 was my number and they had the fortune in English...but the numbers in Thai...and I don't know what the number looks like...

Eleventh Day

Wow, it is easy to slip into a similar pattern to what I had at home. I produced a plan to change many things - delete more emails, eat hea...
