At the nest

We are at Nest 1.. the old stomping ground and I can hear the gang laughing around the fire. I need a day to process what we saw and did at the elephant camp. About 2x a year they go after and rescue and elephant... Joe and I put goop on a sick elephant and then road in the truck with the elephant.. as in standing on a log next to the poor thing to keep her calm. It was incredible. There is a baby born in May.. who loved Joe.. and we even had a stampede with several elephants charging to the water... we have just showered and will wait to eat... it is time to relax and I can't deal with the photo stuff tonight.. but you will be amazed and the shots that we got... Oh.... while we were riding in the truck.. Lek insisted on taking pictures for us... an amazing woman. Michell is still that without husband.. Jody had the day off to visit with in laws.. the food was better than I remember.. and we stayed in a hut without figs dropping.. so great rest.,,,much more tomorrow. Joe got over his mailees... Cheryl and I are good.. Page has an eye infection and JoAnn is struggling with a cold... other than that.. all is great!
