Friday night

Page is taking a shower and I love to feel as filthy and grimy as possible before I shower. Actually, I am as wet now as I will be in the tub. This afternoon I went to the place accross the street and for $6 and a $3tip, Tong gave me one of the best foot/arm/back massages I have had. It was air cooled and the lights were dim...I could have sayed. Eating is a problem. We go to a big place and all we can find is rice noodles and veggies... I am ok for about two more meals and then I will go screeming to some place. Where we went tonight was hysterical. A woman in a sarong brings you to the table, a young man with a grey suit takes your order...runs it to the kitchen and then comes back and puts the paper in a menu holder. Then comes the ongoing attentive person..take a sip of tea...fill the cup...take a noodle and peice of corn...fill the bowl... We both had a bowl of something...rice... drink tea..and watermellon...two beers..soda ...209,000 or about $13. After dinner we took life in hand and cut accross mucho rows of traffic to go through the park. They are hot for V day.. They were giving dancing lessons ... so I had a go at the walz. We see very few dogs.. a few cats...lots of bikes...junk stands...and wires. To light the night bizzar...they just tap into a light wire.... interesting. Tomorrw we are off to the Mykong.

Hi Travellers!
A hint from my last trip to VN.....in dept. store in Saigon, found "Miss Saigon - Essence" perfume....small bottle is blue, in shape of VN woman in local long garb.....about $16 USD. A real bargain, a fragrance to die for! Also many hand-embroidered linens.
Wishing you well on your adventures!!

Bonny with a 'Y' and Page:

I hope your meals improve as you get into VN. JoAnn and I had a very nice meal on the river last nite. Just by the time that we're figuring out the skytrain (and what exit to walk out of) we're leaving. Currently 2:30 AM. Waiting for a 3:00 cab to the airport.

Thanx for ALL that the two of you (especially you Bonny) did for us to make this a trip to remember for always.

Eleventh Day

Wow, it is easy to slip into a similar pattern to what I had at home. I produced a plan to change many things - delete more emails, eat hea...
