Monday

Another interesting day. We started at the temple of the Dawn. Some were more adventurous than others. This is often overlooked by a tourist, but it is a very interesting site. The design is of broken dishes made to look like flowers. The style is Cambodian and while it is interesting from a far, it should not be missed. The slide show when we get home will be very funny. The pics here are only a small sample of the great time we are having. We try to balance our day with some culture for the culture folks and some shopping for the addicted and some Chung/Shingha beer for all. We followed the Wat with the golden Buddha which was discovered under plaster.. it is gold and in real gold and weighs 5.5 tons. We found a good place to eat in Chinatown and tried to find the three temple Wat. That is a whole other story. When in the Golden Buddha temple we got blessings and made offerings. We also made an offering in the squat toilet.. Never easy on the knees. Hard to know where to put your purse. Another unexpected part of the adventure.

I think what Joe likes best is the tuk tuk rides. That is high point for several and JoAnn likes all the boat travel. But whatever we do, the day ends with a little rest, a good shower and fine meal and of course some time to just chill with a brew.

This pic was taken by an Irish couple on their way to live in Austraia. The friendliness of the Thai folk rubs off on the visitors. Everyone is very friendly and there is a great deal of just sitting around relaxing with a brew. I am very excited about going to bed tonight.. I have good belief that I will sleep in the new quiet room... ah navara. While we are strange, I will leave you with very starnge and tell you we are bringing each of you a pair of these glasses.. and I will go to bed thinking of how many ways you create to say... thank but thanks.... (only kidding about bringing them home)...another great day.. and on to tomorrow and Chiangmai.

You must know how jealous we all are but if you bring home a good slide show all will be forgiven. May your travels be blessed.
Love to all Candy

Eleventh Day

Wow, it is easy to slip into a similar pattern to what I had at home. I produced a plan to change many things - delete more emails, eat hea...
