zion and bryce

It is getting colder and today it was so windy that I thought the bus was going to blow over as I watched men climbing up the side of the canyon. There were some moderate paths that were 2 feet wide...that had a chain to hold on to ...but this vertical phobic old lady was not about to do that on this day. I learned that there is a big fire at the entrance to the south rim..but I am sure they will fix it up soon and the south grand will be ready. Sorry about the pics yesterday...the raw were not recognized by blogspot...so i have 4 down loading now that are me at the camping spot last night.. I cooked a nice dinner pasta and salad and beer..l didn't cook the beer.. and then washed my clothes and took a hot shower... and met Diana the cool works attendant at the wash house. Reminded me of the kids I use to work with...she started college and then partied and the dropped out and now does seasonal concession work and lives in a dorm with youth. I am getting very good at organizing the car, but I go to bed too early and then get up too early. I got up this am to see the sunrise...and as I drove over..Isaw rocks and sticks in the road... andlooked at the trees whipping around. so I came upon an other early morning person who flagged me down to tell be there is a great tree in the road ahead. You always wonder why you learn the K turn...now I know. I also know there is a difference in 1 and 2 ply toilet tissue. At 5 am with your hands frozen and you fingers asleep...more is better. I am now at bryce waiting for the pictures to down load and then i will go back and put 7.50 in the camping honor can... not only do I have a life time pass for $10 but I get 1/2 off at the camp grounds. I am reloading the pics....grr. Here at Bryce...you come in and drive around and find your spot and put a mark on the pole and then go back and pay the exact amount... I did not have the exact amount and now have 2 postcards and change. At 7:30 I am going to a star lecture at the lodge and then might get a plate of pasta at the dinning lodge... can't tell you how cold it is but I am shivering..so you are going to get one pic maybe.. shorts were a good idea at 69 degrees...but a very bad idea at 33...so ....shht your eyes...that is bryce and that is zion and that is me at the picnic table...and this is me out of here,.....bye for now
