Monday the animals

Over 3600 miles in a week. I always wanted to be an over the road long distance truck driver. Before house, which I really did not want to buy, I thought quiting work and going to truckers school. It is not the drive that is some what a bother, it is the finding a place to sleep, getting organized and then getting up etc.. It is a great adventure and I am so grateful that my back is allowing me to contort to get in and out of the car. I feel I have died and gone to heaven...I am actually inside the library in Page and it is warm and light and the speed is great and the pictures jumped down in seconds... ah... Linda asked for bigger pictures so I will try to do that. For a short time in my lifeI sold Nikon stuff and ended up with most of it... I am ever so greatful that I got the blanket..that holds your heat inside. So while it was 18 last night, I was roasty...and the car is much better than the tent re the wind. I ate in the lodge last night. I could not get to sit until 8:45... I had a beer, salad bar with soup and some very good pasta...(almost as good as mine)...but by the time I ate, I was falling asleep. I tried jumping about to get the beer down before I went down and I guess I was so tired I just went to sleep, got up around 4:30 and then slept in. There were very few people at Bryce and so the morning noise was light and I was able to find some of the native folks. I did a dance about the grouse when I was doing my native dancing.. and here they were sitting on the fence and then on one of the cars. Two hens and male. I have roused them out when I would ride bob horse through the pasture occasionally, but it is fairly rare to find them so close. There are two dear in the park and I was very lucky to be looking out the window and have room to stop so I have a shot of both of them. The mule deer, which I also sent earlier are very prevalent..and the other deer, which begin with a p but I forget the name are more rare. I saw a small black squirrel run up the canyon wall...but missed that. Also could not get organized enough to get the camera out and car stopped to get a pic of the own on top of a dead tree. Note there is a burn tree under the Mule deer... they do intentional burns so that the floor of the forest has some room for the animals to move.

Eleventh Day

Wow, it is easy to slip into a similar pattern to what I had at home. I produced a plan to change many things - delete more emails, eat hea...
