Almost a tragic mistake

When I got here last night I realized that I had the wrong power cord for the Acer...Not good.  putting pictures with the blog is not easy but going to the corner Internet with a high resolution sd card is very bad. So I got myself organized and took the river taxi and skyway to Siam Plaza and located an Acer store with a geek and I now have a universal charger with a surge protector etc...Now I can sit in the room in my underwear and do the blog.

So what does a 700 baht a night room look like????  It is a nice room...and very very quiet. know you are in a classy place when you can actually have the TP in the toilet area.  As you can see...the shower is still next to the toilet...but there is a little caged basket around the paper so it doesn't get wet.

Rambutti is next to the internet cafe that I went to with Monika when the woman want to beat me up.  I asked the gods not to let her do that and I think they got carried away since it is not a little breakfast place with sweets.   Expensive but cute.  There was a couple in there...you can see the man with his back to me.  The woman he was with had a terrible hacking cough...I think if I see her again i will run... it was the kind of cough that sounded like consumption... I almost missed Jim with his hacking.

As always, I wonder what the story is with folks that I see.  It appears that if you don't have a reservation for the place I am staying... you sit around and wait until there is a space....This guy was sitting with his backpack in the morning light looking at the door.  Almost made me want to check out. I thought a great deal about the young women who were at the next table from me last night.  This smooth talking fellow came over to chat with one of them while the third looked like she was about to die.   She kept saying...i want to go home... and I think home was home.  I did give the waitress a nice tip since the show she put on running after the girls was worth it.  

While the trip to the Siam was quick... I did manage to get a wonderful stuffed bun and coffee.. and of course I went up to visit "my car".. They had several...but the Lamborghini calls to me..Off to check out the pool...have a facial and my daily massage.
