I was ready to get on with it...but not ready for the long day.
I took an early airport bus to DMK. The driver, on speaker phone, chatted with a woman the entire trip. I tried to follow the path...and think we went near the weekend market. I know the airport was flooded a few years ago...and I think the in airport bathroom has not recovered. In side the terminal is much better. There was a wait but many interesting people... like the two men who kept casually touching... the child of a western man and Thai woman who has picked up the western habits of screaming and wanting what the parents were eating...
I sat next to a Muslim couple who were snuggling. I guess you get use to the face cloth .but is a challenge for the lip lock.
I felt a sense of relaxation when they said we are landing in Chiangmai. I had arranged for a pick up.....well that was number one glitch. I got in the taxi line and looked up the Thai address and we were off. With all the one way streets, I was not sure where Junior's was located... but climbing to the third floor with the pack was all too familiar...and the pad locks on the door... was telling me same same but different. I wanted to run or cry. Poor Junior kept saying...momma...I fix it. sorry about driver... he puking and could not drive... oh no...now the place is home to typhoid johnny.... but this is nice room...you can push the beds together... and balcony...so I said...air con?.... oh yes.. and he turned it on and nothing...but hopped up on a stool, pulled down part of the machine..and there was air... good air...I fix. You have hot water, two waters for first day and TP for first day. This is common for a guest house. I turned on the TV... and 65 channels of snow. I got out my pad lock from my suitcase and went downstairs.... I asked for a map... and he put a dot on a place that was near the north gate... I put a TP on a gate for tapee. What is with the TV.... I fix. up the three flights, undo pad lock...and he pulled a new cable connection from a drawer along with an extension and we were in business. The good thing... the electric stays on...so the room is cool. I needed to think...should I try to move to Kristi...don't just react...but get into my now and think about what would be best. This is a block form the jok/gangee place... two blocks from the blue diamond...near the road to the dentist.... I am here... so I got the TV working. the air working... my stuff is here.. I can type on the bed in my pj's....OK
I checked out the yangsee...very nice....quiet... garden.... this will cost me 5000 for 10 days about $9.... I went to the diamond last night and had pumpkin soup and a lovely avocado salad.and Chung. I got a multi grain and nut bun for morning....In a few minutes I will stop and shower and walk to Dr... then get a scooter...I know where I am... and i am in a 1 quiet place to rest and reflect.

I hope the room works out ok. I can picture you walking through the market eating tiny hard boiled eggs from a styrofoam bowl! Loved the flower markets, the Wat with the disney statues, and, of course, my bird!!
